Cat In A Bong

Trying to calm down his overly active cat, the 20 year old Acea Schomaker stuffed her into a boxlike homemade bong. The inexplicable act of the young man drawn attention of the Lancaster County sheriff and animal lovers.

Sheriff’s deputies were the first at the scene, responding to a domestic disturbance. What they saw was Schomaker smoking marijuana through a piece of hose. The hose was duct taped to a plastic box with the cat stuffed inside.

“This cat was just dazed", Sgt. Andy Stebbing said.

"She was on the front seat of the cop car, wrapped in a blanket, and never moved all the way to the humane society".

Schomaker’s excuse for stuffing the cat into the homemade bong was - her hyperness. He didn’t know what to do but put the 6 month old Shadow into the bong. Despite the 12 inches by 6 inches big bong, the cat was in good condition, executive director Bob Downey said.

“What the human mind doesn't invent, huh?" Downey added.

The neglectful young man was charged with animal cruelty and drugs abuse but released from jail after paying $400 fine. For the comment on his act, the man was nowhere to be found.
