I couldn't have said it any better. Other than the fact that the ice cream is made from some breast milk, I don't see any harm in trying to do something interesting.August 6th, 2012 at 08:34am

You guys know women who sell breastmilk have to be tested and confirmed safe, right? Also, the FSA said that they approved it.. So you know.
Plus, babies drink breastmilk. What's wrong with using it in ice cream? It's not like you're getting it straight from the source.September 27th, 2011 at 08:35am -
Diseases can be spread quickly; it's a lawsuit waiting to happen, I swear.August 22nd, 2011 at 03:28am

It's a funny idea, and has been mentioned below, it's odd that we find it acceptable to drink milk from a cow rather than a human - which is how a lot of people started off in life, you know. :) I mean, it's not like it's straight breast milk - they would obviously do treatments, and they're adding all sorts of fun and interesting tastes to it. :) It's a bizarre idea, I'll admit that, and that I wouldn't drink it because it just doesn't seem right according to societal goings - but I mean, it's interesting, intriguing and it's winning some people over, so that's a good thing.
I like how you showed that it helps women financially too - they've got this milk and they're able to hand it over for some cash. It helps, and these people are probably glad for the extra cash, so any way to get money - and to create new ideas - just seems like it's a better rather than horrible thing. :)
It's a good little write, and I like that it was written - just for the mere fact that it's totally different and not something you expect at all. :)August 6th, 2011 at 02:02pm -

Wondering why they put Gaga's name on it. Just because the girl dresses oddly does not mean she'd eat breast milk flavored ice cream...July 27th, 2011 at 03:33am

Ew
some reason this got a scenario in my head:
One day a mum decides to share breast milk for the ice cream.
A few years go by and somone knocks on the apartment door. The door opens and the guy gives her a big hug," hey mum".
the mum calls for her kids, saying, "Come meet your milk sibling"
Random I know but that's what came to mind.July 3rd, 2011 at 12:17pm -
....you have to hand it to them for thinking outside the box. I don't think I'd like to try it personally, it just seems strange to drink milk that came from a human. Like cannabalism but without the whole death thing. hahaJune 22nd, 2011 at 05:06am

I have only one word to sum up the subject of this article: Ew.June 21st, 2011 at 04:36pm

Interesting article. I don't necessarily find it disgusting, but I definitely have reservations. Not sure if I'd be willing to try it. Maybe. I think that the additions of liquid nitrogen and children's medicine are the reason I would consider trying it... And the whiskey, I do love alcoholic ice cream.
Why is it called 'Baby Gaga'? Is there a particular reason?June 14th, 2011 at 11:03am -

To be honest I think it's weirder that we drink from cow's tits rather than people of our own species. But whatever.April 17th, 2011 at 12:51am

Don't know why Lady Gaga sued them, considering she ripped her name off from somewhere else.April 12th, 2011 at 09:38pm
In my opinion, I don't find the idea of breast milk ice cream as disgusting. And after reading your article, I might even give it a try if given a chance. It seems that the Icecreamists are taking the appropriate measures to ensure that the product follows the food safety laws. I mean, I've had breast milk as an infant. And I know there are benefits to breastfeeding for both the infant and the mother. As long as the food is safe, I really don't see harm in it. But I don't know about adding the children's medicine and pain relief gels...I wouldn't take medicine if I don't need it. But at least that strange topping is optional. If I were to try this ice cream, it would be with whiskey, thank you! The only thing that I can think of that would keep me from buying a scoop is probably the price...I may only be stingey here but I think $22.50 for a scoop of ice cream is a bit luxurious for my current lifestyle.
The process of making/serving the ice cream is quite elaborate and unique, isn't it? And yes, I am wondering...why name this 'Baby Gaga'?
Anyways, hopefully this ice cream paves a way and aids in the breastfeeding awareness. Great article!
