    You're right. Goof on my part. I'll correct it.

    Hey, I just wanted to point out that in the Rapunzel section you say the prince's name is 'Fin'. Its actually 'Flynn'. (If you're going by the Tangled version) Other than that, it's a great article!

    So true. I really like how you wrote this. I never noticed it before, but it's true! That's something no parent thought of, I would think. Because if so, my parents wouldn't have let me watch all of these movies! haha. Great article. I especially liked the ending, I thought that was very funny. Cute

    I love this article. So many people hate the Disney Princesses because they're "damsels in distress," or whatever. These people totally ignore the fact that the Princesses rebel against so many things and, though they may not take aggressive action, they do take action in order to change their fates. They've always been role models for young girls, despite what anyone says, and I thank you for writing this article:}

    I feel this was a very interesting article :)

    One major thing that I think should be said is that if Disney Princesses had listened to their parents and not rebelled, there would be less role models for little kids. These Disney Princesses aren't anyone's bitch, they're strong and send good messages to kids. They teach about love, respect, and that being treated like dirt isn't cool. If Disney princesses hadn't been made the way they were... I'd fear for this world, I would.

    @ hello love.
    my mom and i were discussing the marriage bit. aurora, snow white, rapunzel, ariel, and jasmine all lived way back when in a time when it was completely normal for teens to get married. the royally born ones would have probably already been married by that point, as menstruation was the proper time for marriage for the well born in those days. (peasants didn't always marry young.)

    I praise you for this article!!!! I am so tired of people bad-mouthing Disney heroines and princesses because they have minds of their own and look out for themselves. If people read this article, it should definitely make those Disney-haters experience what would have happened to Jasmine had she not listened to her guts.

    so right, love the 'shut the fuck up bit!'
    i always used to notice a lot of the heroes were orphans or had parents that were busy/away, and then the kids would do whatever they want. it always annoyed me because i always thought 'well, i couldn't do that. they need their parents to teach them stuff, otherwise there's no point.' it really bugged me because i was very aware that ariel and others were 16 year olds were getting married and i thought that was awful!

    Like Kurtni, wow! Definitely put things in a whole new perspective. A bit depressing to think about to be honest lol just because it's such a great theory, it could've possibly gone down that way. I'm glad it didn't and it made me have a little more respect for the princesses. I guess it only proves that sometimes parents don't always know what's best. Sometimes children can teach parents an even greater lesson. Wonderful article!
