Boy Meets World Gets a Reboot

If you grew up in the 90s, you remember the show Boy Meets World. It lasted seven years and showed the adventures of Corey, Topanga, and Shawn through middle school, high school, and college.

And now we get to enjoy it all over again. The spin-off/reboot is going to be called Girl Meets World and the lead will be Corey and Topanga's 13-year-old daughter. Danielle Fishel, who played Topanga, and Ben Savage (Corey) will be reprising their original roles. The couple will also still be married on the show. The fourteen-year-old in me is very happy.

Girl Meets World will be produced by the Disney channel, which may have some fans of the original wondering if the show will follow the old format that made it's predecessor so successful or if it will follow the new formula of Disney shows. Will we hear Riley Matthews singing on the radio?

One can hope not and recognize that the formula of the old show is what made it so successful. There is no word yet on whether or not the rest of the cast and crew will join up, but fingers crossed. It doesn't seem like any of them have current commitments.
