I read about this somewhere else and nearly cried!!! That is my favorite show of all time!!! I hope Girl Meets World follows the Boy Meets World format. If it doesn't I will be very upset.
@ sempiternal. Yea I totally agree with you on this one, thats why I wish someone else besides Disney would make this reboot. But I am keeping my mind open. But I do agree with babyfirefly too, if they do mess this up I'm seriously going to like throw my tv out the window.
But I guess we'll all have to wait and see what this will be like. I'm hoping for the best, it's either going to be very good or very bad.
But I am happy to see that some of the original characters are coming back to do this show. I think that is the only saving grace this show may have.
I'm agreeing with other people - I'm slightly worried and slightly excited for this. I'm so afraid they'll take away that "real life" feel that Boy Meets World had and replace it with the star studded theme most Disney shows have anymore.
I'm half excited for this and half worried about this. I'm excited at the possibility of seeing the main cast (Topanga, Corey, Shawn, and Eric -- That is the name of Will Friedle's character, right?) returning for this show. I grew up on Boy Meets World and most likely, Disney will mess some aspects of it up but you know, this reboot/sequel, will be for modern times. I secretly want to see Will Friedle on there though, mainly because Eric was my favorite character.
But let's not keep our hopes up too high because like what Bad Wolf. says, a lot of good series keep getting cancelled for no reason in favor of other shows just because of the lack of ratings. >.>
@ Bad Wolf. Mmph another work that Will Friedle (Eric) was involved in got cancelled despite it being a good series (Thundercats 2011/2012 series)
I am excited and worried about the show - I want it to be good. It has to be good and it needs to be delivering the same messages it once did back in the day... but these days, good television shows don't last long so even if it was amazing, there is always a chance it might get cancelled >.< urghhh so many feelings on this. Also, thinking about Eric and how the show must portray him as the cool/crazy/stupid uncle who is always giving the most ridiculous but good advice on life.
So excited for this, but I know it'll NEVER be the same. Times have changed far too much and I don't think the same kind of show that entertained us (those of us who grew up on the show - watching it every Friday on TGIF) as kids can hold the attention of kids/young teens today.
The show will definitely be a reboot to fit modern times and I don't think that's something I'll really enjoy. I hope Disney won't get rid of that wholesome, after school special cheese that the show originally had - but I fear they probably will.
Hoping for the best, though, I and I'll definitely tune in when it airs.
