"Prepared in the restaurants using a non-hydrogenated vegetable oil. Salt is added after cooking.""

This is not true for the US, hence why our fries aren't cruelty-free. :(

Burger King's burgers aren't vegan.

"does anyone know that it costs more to eat healthy? even more so with one of these diets that are talked about in this article. most people don't even eat healthy now. because they can't afford it. even if they wanted to switch over, it won't be easy on themselves or their family {if they have one willing to switch with them}. even less easier if the household is split on the issue."

My family probably makes merely $12-15 thousand a year, yet we're okay with me being a vegan. Have you even tried at all?

Lame excuse. Even if you can't afford all the fake meats and all, there are much cheaper foods out there. Stop being selfish.

I love you so much. I became vegatarian about 4 years now and at first I didn't eat very healthy. I think this article would help a lot of people who want to become vegetarian. Very informative and well written.

this is a great article. very informational. not that i need it, but good job. im a vegan, and i am actually slightly overweight, so being vegan isnt going to immediately make u small. and i can eat lots of stuff. i eat veggie burgers and patties (they have that at Burger King and Subway) and soy ice cream and soy cheese and cake without eggs. i luv to eat, by the way. :)) consider being vegan, at least it tastes good when ur mom cooks like mine!!

ahah, the thing i love is when people say, "you need meat to live?" and it's pretty obvious you don't, because all vegetarians would be dead, haha.

and i checked the UK McDonald's website about their fries a few weeks back - it does say there that they're suitable for vegetarians. [although i do think this might only be in the UK].
"Potatoes, Vegetable Oil (Sunflower, Rapeseed), Dextrose (only added at beginning of season). Prepared in the restaurants using a non-hydrogenated vegetable oil. Salt is added after cooking."
which is from here:
http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/food/nutrition/our-ingredients.mcd?menu_item=222#dl

:]

but yeah, this is a really good article. i've been a vegetarian since september 2008 but i don't have a really healthy diet. and this is kinda convincing me to start getting healthier! :D

"That was a very good article! One thing I've wanted to know is why has Vegetarianism become such a fad?"

I don't know, but the reason why I went vegetarian was because of how the animals are treated. I didn't do it for just a fad and plan to be a vegetarian for the rest of my life.

Wow, I'm very impressed with the extensive listof sources you gavem I can tell you put a lot of work into this. Also, props for not just using biased sources like PETA or something, you listed some legitimate health sites. Great, informative article!
