    One of my closest friend just recently (about a year ago) was finally cancer free. But she has another form of leukemia. She had Acute Meyloid Luekemia (AML) which is very uncommon in children and more so in adults.

    Andrew McMahon from Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin was diagnosed with that in 2005.
    He founded The Dear Jack foundation for research.

    I really liked this article. I'm really into medical stuff, and there are tons of diseases I'd like to see a cure for in my lifetime.

    I've got a little boy in a story of mine who has this. He's not a main character though, but you've helped me understand it a bit more.
