That is so true!!! Team Jacob!!! Team Damon!!! Team Peeta!!! (But I also love Gale :)) I just think he had his turn and now Peeta gets a shot.) Yeah so great article and as a writer fans do drive more towards love triangles because it's exciting and suspenseful. You bite your nails and wonder, "OOOOOHHHH who she gonna choooosseee!!!!" It's adventurous and heart wrenching especially at the end when the final one is chosen and the other is heart broken.

Wow. I seriously enjoyed this article. Most articles would just go on and on and on. You went straight to the point with characters and examples people can relate to. I personally don't like them cause it just ends up hurting someone. I always end up hating the girl mainly because she played with like two guys at the same time and the fact that she seems to blame others on her magically falling in love with two guys. Or she acts like she didn't break a guys heart just to go with another guy.

Just saying.

This is interesting stuff! I agree with your idea that there's another character to fall back on in a love triangle. I also wonder if we enjoy them so much because, to a less dramatic degree, these triangles happen in real life.

Like Renavelia, I'm a Jacob and Peeta fan as well. I don't watch nor read The Vampire Diaries. I'm, honestly, not really a love triangle fan, because in a lot of the love triangle stories I have read usually one of them either ends up hurting the female character or the other male character, and I have just not liked reading them ever since.

I absolutely adore your article on love triangles. I love the examples you gave as well. I like Jacob more than Edward. I like Peeta more than Gale. And I'm certainly a Damon fan. This article is enjoyable to read and had me asking a lot of questions too. Thank you for writing this.
