Possibly the most amazing article I've ever read, because it was immensely helpful!! For a long time, I've believed that the world did not exist and now I know for sure that there may (or may not) be others (even if it's only in the general subconcious mind which constitutes everything "we" "know" or "feel") who see the world like this. I actually came across this word during a standardized test, and couldn't find it in the dictionary, so I was curious as to what it meant. When I glanced it on Mibba, I immediately read this article and now can input this information into my theories about the world. GREAT ARTICLE!!!
Nice to see an article that actually fits the qualifications of the word. Everything else is about pop-culture, or a half-assed, biased attempt at political views.
I'd like to see either one proven; if the world is physically here, or if it's all my mind.
Either way, I think I like believing the latter. I prefer to be arrogant and self-centered, beleiving that I'm the one, in a sense, creating reality.
It's pathetic, but I'd like to believe that I'm just that important to the (my?) world.
Very well written- and it's nice to see an article on philosophy on here for once.
You write with a lot of passion- you can tell you have a very strong interest in Solipsism, be it positive or negative.
Fantastic.
You just relieved one of my biggest frustrations, this is exactly what I've always thought, but could never quite put into words to explain to people.
Fantastic article. The best I've read in a long time.
Definitely an interesting article. Of course, if solipsism is true, then I actually created the article and the author and the commentors who said good things about the article.
It's still a great article whether or not it's a figment of my own creation. =)
I found this article really interesting. It's actually a subject me and my best friend have discussed many times before, that and other similar theories of existence and illusion. You described it well and, though the example of Person A and Person B would usually be quite confusing, it is an interesting argument and one I was actually thinking of while I read this. I'm glad to find the name of this theory, since I had never looked for it and giving it a name is very helpful. I'm pretty sure that the next time I see my friend, I'm going to go right ahead and discuss this with him; it's a really interesting subject.
Overall, though, this is a very informative article. It made me think and it was very well written. You did a great job on this.
