5 Seconds of Summer: From the Bottom to the Top in Rocket Speed - Comments

I was lurking on Mibba and found this article, and it made me giggle. Not for the writing, for it's a well-written article, but more of reflecting. Because sometime after this was written, the band kind of went down as quick as they came up, and they sort of disappeared for a bit. But as soon as they came back, they're bigger and more evolved than before. I think the band is great, and I've been a huge fan of them before they released their first album. I'm proud of how far they've come. I think my one worry with the band is the sound, not that it's bad but I worry that the reason why they fit so well now after a period of being absent is that their current sound is very similar to what is in right now. The same with before, when they sounded a bit more "heavier" or more "pop punk," if we're using words they wanted to describe the band as. Pop punk was so in during that time, that they fitted in well too. I just hope with time, they find their sound and they follow their gut instead of following the path like everyone else. Still love them tho lol.

They were on the radio one day and decided to check them out. They're actually not that bad. Considering they're teenagers and a fairly new band to the world, but I can defiantly see them developing with their music in the future. I'm a new fan myself and have only known about them for a couple of weeks now. But still love them nonetheless though.

I absolutely adore these guys! I'm a fairly new fan so I haven't been with them since the very start or know every single little thing about them but why should that matter? We all love their music the same in the end. I've been playing their album on repeat constantly for days now and I can't decide which song my favourite is cause I just love them all I just love them so much and hope they go on to do great things. They remind me a lot of All Time Low actually. I actually have a little crush on Ashton even though I'm three years older. but I try not to think about that too much...

I absolutely love this band. I've listened to maybe.. five songs of theirs so far and I'm definitely itching to listen to more. They come on my Pandora station and iHeart stations rather frequently. They're a great band!

Didn't the singer post a video to Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low asking for a chance to sing onstage with the band? Someone did, and I know they were actually able to. I'm pretty sure it was the 5SOS singer.
