Teenager Pregnant after Swimming in Pool?

According to The Sun, a British news agency, Magdalena Kwiatkowska and her 13-year-old daughter recently traveled to Egypt and spent time in one of its hotels.

Now Magdalena Kwiatkowska is suing the hotel claiming a stray sperm had met her daughter while swimming in the hotel. The teenager is now expecting a child.

A travel industry source said, "The mother is adamant that her daughter didn't meet any boys while she was there." The source also added that, "She is determined to go ahead with the case."

Many people wonder if that is even possible. According to The American Pregnancy Association there is an extremely slim chance "that a tiny sperm could travel through the vast area of water that would fill a pool... to reach the vagina and result in pregnancy."

According to Snopes.com around 40 years ago, a young girl was in the same situation. The girl won the case and the public pool was sued because it wasn't chlorinated enough.

Although this case may seem bizarre, things like this do happen.
