i love reading up on these types of things on mibba, bc it shows that people are just as interested in it as i am or are willing to inform others. i have read certain things regarding chernobyl & i have also seen a thousand movies w/ some sort of weird-ass twist to the plot regarding people affected by the happenings of radiation or the such. & in my mind, it's so hard to process that this happened bc it seems like something out of a goddamn horror movie. for the people who were effected & still are in some sense, perhaps it is.

this was an amazing article. i really want to visit this place as well as the other commenters below. i mean, who wouldn't? horrible things happened there, things that we still to this day have no affimation of.

I can assure you that a few hours there will not alter your genes or fertility Very Happy I wish you luck regardless, and thank you!

I expect this was why, as far as I'm aware only children affected by Chernobyl were given respite in the UK. It's great to hear that your mum helped!

This explains a lot. When I was younger my mum looked after a young Russian girl from Belarus for a while. That may have been why. That was back in the 90's. We looked after a few Russian children.
