  • I dunno... I've felt so sad my heart was in actual pain - perhaps it's something to do with that? That the ache in your chest feels like your heart's broken in there? It's always made sense to me because of that. That's probably why the heart is seen as a major emotional centre, too. Heartache, heartbreak, heartsore. It really happens.

It also made my wrists and lower arms ache, but that was an extreme case and may have been unrelated.

  • Actually, I use "I just got kicked in the liver" whenever I feel like I'm in "love".... or any variation of that. Why? A joke we have with my friends, we're all waiting for that special someone that will kick our livers. It all started the day we read about that study that claimed that the emotion of "love" comes from a chemical reaction in the liver.

  • "And then, she walked into the room, a glowing vision, and his brain stopped."
That actually does make a lot more sense than saying "his heart stopped." Because your brain kind of does stop in those situations and you get all like, "Duuhhhh, ummm, uhhh, I like your bracelet..."
And I totally think your brain gets broken. Because it starts thinking all of these not nice thoughts and stuff and basically just gets all whacked.

So I totally agree with you.
