THANK YOU MIBBA! (My first rant) - Comments

  • I've done that a couple times. I've been close to snapping at someone, but then a little voice in my head said, "Excuse me? Do you want to be banned again? and then I just have to hit the back button.

  • Strict my ass.
I rant to get my opinion out, and oh my, looks like you just did what you didn't want to.
Humans are hypocrites, I know. It's our nature.
And the fact that you say people ranting on the computer is due to lack of friends, you can be quite mistaken. The internet was originally for science, yes, but now it has turned into some tool for corruption.
People go to the internet because there are people out there who bash them for reasons I can't fathom. There is this girl that I know who has run to the internet for safety because no one likes her. Why? I have no idea. But she lives on the computer. Her whole life on the internet is false, but she feels like she fits in because people are close minded to her. I feel bad that the world has come that far, pushing people to that level. And for you to be slamming things like that in their face is rude, but I'm sure this is making you feel high and mighty, that you can state these things as well.
I need a rant once and a while. Thanks for providing a topic. And no, this is not intended to sound arrogant, this, in all honesty, is how I act "out in the real world". In fact, the computer is in "the real world" therefore, I'm in it right now.

  • Honestly, I've quit talking to people like these. I've come to realize they're lonely and pathetic. They spend ALL of their time on Mibba, spouting out hypocritical rants, while trying to be "open-minded".

    Pffft.

I'm way more open minded than they are, and I'm Republican. What a contradiction, no?

  • that all goes out the window when someone doesn't think like you doesn't it?

you, the "sensitive" and "open minded" ones are the first ones to go at someone's throat when they disagree with you.

I remember the first time I said I didn't like slash. It was a plain and simple statement, with really no need to a debate.I was looking for some non-slash stories to read, saying, "I think slash is gross and don't want to read it." People got all up on my ass, some even called me a homophobe.
    O.o

I've gotten pretty nasty to people before, or at least I think so.
I've never gotten a warning. Maybe they're afraid to say something. Lmao. Generally, I just laugh at people and their ignorance and go outside. Most people that pick fights on here don't know what the real world looks like.

  • The stupid ones just make a person skin crawl, don't they?
    November 6th, 2008 at 11:26pm
  • I'm surprised I've never gotten one of those warnings. I've been told to go kill myself for the things I've said to people here, and not even a warning.

I get what you mean, about equal rights. If you want honesty; I don't think that every person deserves to be treated equal. If you're going to preach them, then you better not insult anyone for their ignorance or lack of belief in something.
That's never going to happen, though.

Anyway, yes. I don't understand Mibba. But, I do enjoy your journal entries, and the comments you leave for people, just to let you know.

  • I'm wondering if I'm one of the people you're ranting about. Honestly, I don't care if you snap at me. I don't turn people in because I believe that if someone has something they want to say to me, they should say it. You called me a cunt once after I called you an asshole, and I didn't care. It's what happens when horns lock. Maybe you hate me and hate what I have to say, but I do respect you and enjoy the debates.

    Just so you know.

  • well and eloquently stated, i must say. ;]

  • You're one of about six people I can think of who actually have something new and interesting to say in your journals.
Always makes for a good read after the masses of journals that are all about the same topic. As it turns out, even the rants are.
So I'd be much obliged if you ignore the crazy people and continue writing journals that make people think rather than just blindly nod and smile.Smiley
