I completely understand. I got upset when my comp broke (2 different times. >.<)

So no, not pathetic at all dear.

Buy a hard drive and start saving things to that. Trust me, it will basically save your life one day. And my when my laptop broke the other year, I was distraught. I had luckily saved all my stuff on a flashdrive days before it broke, but I still missed the convience and the familiarity. I hated my desktop computer and still kind of do. But my hard drive is awesome and with so many computers in my house now, I can be mobile once more! ( well, sort of)

You are so lucky it turned back on.
My laptop died ... and never came back. I lost so much music, all my pictures (including my trip to Europe), all my school work from High School AND college (including several finals prejects)... ugh, everything. I know you know the feeling.

And basically my point is... you are sooo not pathetic. I sobbed for hours. Several times. Even at Best Buy when they told me they couldn't recover anything (Then a family friend did recover everything... then during finals week... my back up drive that had everything that I had been using with various computers since my laptop wasn't repaired... well it crashed. And now everything is gone for good.)
