I actually agree. I do think it has become a fad. Granted, I live in CT, the epitome of fad-users.

I don't know if vegetarianism is becoming a fad. Yes, it's becoming popular, but I don't think it's quite a fad yet. With all the new environmentalist and planet friendly business peeking up now, people are becoming more health conscious and, if done correctly, the vegetarian diet is the healthiest.

Personally, I'm not a vegetarian and I don't plan on becoming one. I'm a girl who likes meat, what can I say? I do have friends that are vegetarians, A LOT of friends who are vegetarians and they're not 'tempted' by the meat eaters around them. The thing is, if you're going to make such a big change in life-style you've got to be really committed to it. If not, it won't work out. You'll relapse.

Some people slowly go off meat - starting with quitting red meat, then white meat, and finally fish. Others just altogether stop. Either way, I think you're bound to have meat cravings because your body is missing the nourishment it was getting from meat, which is why you have to make sure that you're getting everything you were getting from meat elsewhere.

Well it's never been a fad for me it's just the way I live, try to always think of it like that.
Don't worry my friends are like that with me being vegan, they just know they never could do something like this. =p
