Yay You're Another Year Closer To Dying! Happy Brithday! - Comments

People celebrate birthdays because they're not morbid enough to think "Oh yay I'm one year closer to dying." If you were going by that way of thinking, you'd hate every day because every second you're alive is bringing you closer to that.

Live life to the fullest and celebrate the life you've already lived and the life you've yet to experience; sitting around thinking "oh nooo I'm closer to death" is just wasting the time we do have left.

1. Being happy is better than being pessimistic. Before death, you have a full life to lead. Why not focus on what's to come in that time rather than after?
2. If you're afraid of death, then you're just wasting the precious time you have while being alive.

I look forward to my birthday for a few reasons:

1. I have made it another year through this hell of a life I have been possessed into.
2. For once, people seemingly care.
3. I am part of the excitement and attention; not an outsider.

But I do agree with you, a birthday for some symbolize becoming of a year closer to death.

I'm happy when it's my birthday because, even though I'll die like everyone else, my birthday gave me the opportunity for life. It's better to have had a life and died then have no life at all, if you ask me.

Plus, presents and cake! What's there to be unhappy about? =D
