A Letter to my "Father" - Comments

  • It's sad your dad didn't want anything to do with you.
But like Bree. said, if he's such a horrible person then why do you want him in your life? Wouldn't you be better off without him?

  • *Sighs*
I really don't know what to tell you then. I don't have my father in my life, either, but it's by choice. I live with my mom and my step-dad, and both treat me equally shitty. I mean, it's obvious 'cause I post so many fucking journals about it.
I guess my advice to you is to do what you got to do. If that means getting emancipated, do so.

  • Truthfully, and I might sound like a terrible person. but I don't want my mom in my life either....

  • If he doesn't pay, he can be sent to jail. Simple as that.
And why would you want someone like that in your life? You make him out to be so terrible, but then you turn right around and say you want him in your life. If he's making you so miserable, why want him around? Obviously your mother is the one you should be wanting in your life, looking up to. Not your father whose ignoring you, pushing off child support, etc.

  • See he has already been to court. The judge keeps telling him the same thing over and over again. Which is to pay. I want my dad in my life. Or at least meet him. I want to know where I got some of my qualities.

  • If your dad doesn't want to be apart of your life and your step-dad was more of a dad then your biological one, why are you trying to force it? You can't force people, you know. If your dad abuses you and says he hates you, why do you care? Just let him be. If he's going to go and get himself locked up in jail, that's his problem. And if he's not gonna pay child support, well, take him to court. It's not that difficult.
