I hate it that people like bands for their looks. I USED to love black veil brides until they got famous. I can see why you don't want the Maine to get famous. Because when BVB got famous everyone only cared about Andy. Now I see all the "scene" kids with their last name "sixx, 6 or six." And I'm always so selfish with my music, I like to keep my bands to myself. If that makes sense lol.

I think that now days it doesn't matter how good you are at singing because we have so many computers in the studio that can make you sound like an angel. I mean it'll suck when you have to sing live, but by then the band is already pretty famous.

Now days I think that a pretty face is a lot more crucial when Record Companies look for the newest 'hottest' band. Singing comes second. :/

I love The Maine and I think I got into them... in 2008/2009 ish? I don't remember exactly when because I had heard a song in 2008 and then I really, truly got into them in 2009. Now they are one of my top bands. Sure, they are hot, but that's not the real reason that I like them. I love them because their music is amazing and it's catchy and good, etc. I heard the song Everything I Ask For before I knew what The Maine even looked like and I fell in love because of the song. I'm sick of girls who just like bands like The Maine and All Time Low just because they think the band members are hot. It's disgusting.

Proud lover since 2009, bahaha. But oh well. I totally agree with you, though. If this was last summer I could totally rave about this in regards to Kevin Jonas.

I hate it when bands you like become a Jonas Brother's thing.(even though i do, in fact, like them). It was kind of like Owl City too. Adam Young was my favorite singer, until he became insanely popular and everyone only liked Fireflies. I've only heard one The Maine song, "Everything I Ask For", but I want to start listening to more of there music because I was obsessed with that song for so long. ;] Any recomendations?

Surprisingly, the Jonas Brothers put on a good show when I went to see them with my younger cousin and her friend. I enjoyed myself... I won't go to a show that costs me a ton of money. Aside from Bamboozle or Projekt Revolution, I hate paying more than $30. And I don't really like The Maine that much... I never really sat down to listen to them, though.

I like a few of their songs, but I have to say that I have no idea what they look like. That's just what they are to me. I know maybe... maybe one of their names, but I don't know if it's the lead singer or the guitarist. So, yeah, there you go. :]

People who like bands only for their looks piss me off. There's no doubt that good-looking band members are a plus, but when people only concentrate on looks, then yeah, that's pretty stupid.

I'm not going to say I'm their biggest fan, and I don't even know what they look like..
but I do enjoy their music...and I am seeing them Warped.
I feel that way about Cobra Starship...I mean, I've been a fan for about three years and NOW they are getting played on the radio. I'm happy for them though..and the same thing with All Time Low. I've met Jack, and he's a total sweetheart....I didn't get a chance to meet any of the other guys though.

I completely agree. It really bothers me when people only listen to bands because they're attractive, or (I know you didn't mention this in you journal but eh) because they're on the radio.
Like, I've been a fan of All Time Low since I first heard Six Feet Under The Stars, in like what, '06, '07? It really annoys me that all these girls like the band because they;re on MTV, or because Alex and Jack are 'soooo hot'.
MTV ruins so many good bands. >.>

Face it, the ugliest, fattest, most disgusting person in the world could make the best music. And the sexiest, nicest person could make the worst music known to man.

Good looks does not equal musical talent.

Edit But of course, a band could be attractive as well as be talented. Most of the time, it ends up like that. But, I see what you're saying. I agree 100% with you.

Okay so I just recently started liking them. The song Everything I ask For is one of my favs right now. I don't really like them for their looks its not really my type. I know what you mena about them etting big. I liked Fall Out Boy before they got huge and then their last two albums have dissappointed me. I liked their old music. They go to a point to where they were Year 3000 came out. That was me and my sisters song. It was just fun and we'd listen to it by the pool. When they started getting really famous and everyone was talking about them I just wanted to be like SHUT UP I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT. I some how ended up listening to their music and I liked it. I personally don't think that they are very attractive but I can relate to their songs to an extent which is something that I love.

I like The Maine.
My sister has their cd and it's good, I mean they're not my favorite band obviously but I like them a lot. I've liked them since last year.
And they are kind of good looking, at least the pictures on their cd are cute.
