Hmm... Well, I guess it's good that you've taken the first step and realized that you like this boy...
What happens from here is all up to you. Do you talk to the guy at all? Could you guys be friends? If you can, I'd start there. Just be a great friend to him, but don't throw yourself under the bus for the boy.
Then maybe, SOMETHING can start... MAYBE. But if the boy doesn't turn to you in the way you would like, just be there as a friend, and the move on or not is up to you.
