I Have Six Mental Disorders [Long] P.S. HELP? - Comments

  • i am a self diagnosed emetophobic, hypochondiac, and gad sufferer.
and i see nothing wrong with self diagnosis after the person researches the disorter using information from credible websites, books ect. and info on other peoples experiences (profesionaly diagnosed)
i think that you have done a great job with your diagnosies and you shouldnt listen to the "self diagnosis is always wrong" and things like that.
most likely they have no disorters and no understanding.

  • Difficulty sleeping.

I am starting to wake up earlier and earlier.

Sorry to keep pestering, but that doesn't mean you're having difficulty sleeping. Everytime you list a symptoms on there, it seems like you're picking out anything that could contribute.
Like, it seems like you're trying to have a mental illness.

  • P.s: Your mom is kind of right. If you don't need medication, which you probably don't, then I wouldn't take it. I've been on... I don't even know how many different anti-depressants/anxietys/psychotics. They've definitely messed me up. My body now depends on the medication I'm on now and when I don't have it, I have extremely violent withdrawal symptoms.
Medication is one thing you don't want to get started on... trust me.

  • Argh!!
Do NOT self-diagnose yourself. God, I hate that. And even if you did have six mental illnesses, why would you tell everyone about it in a journal?
I highly doubt you have every single one of those.
I've been professionally diagnosed with three of the ones you've said up there. If you were having symptoms of them before, why would you just be 'freaking out' now?
Just, in the future.. don't go around tell people you have all of these when actually, you don't know if you have any. Articles and quizzes on the internet are NOT doctors.
    Grow up.
    -sigh-

  • If we're all going to go self-diagnosing based on a few symptoms we have of certain disorders, I have about 300 different mental disorders.

Go to a doctor, for gods sake.

  • Okay. Thanks you guys. I'm just going insane... [there we go again]. lol
I'll probably talk to a couple of my friends about it and if they think I should see a doctor, I'll ask my parents.

  • Don't be a hypochrondriac. The average person can watch a marathon of House, and have diagnosed themselves with everything they saw on the show by the time the marathon is over. You're just freaking yourself out.

No offense, but you're a teenager. Your hormones are all over the place! It's normal to be fine one moment, then feel aggresive or nervous the next, to have sexual feelings, to have weird sleeping patterns. I assure you, you're fine. If you're really worried, though, at least see a doctor before you start diagnosing yourself with everything in the newest DSM edition.

  • I think you need to see a professional. I won't post my opinion on whether you have any disorder just that seeing someone will ease your worries.

  • Best thing would be to see someone about it.

Don't self diagnose... you'll only freak yourself out more.
