Okay. There's a method my Spanish two, Spanish three, and Spanish four teachers made my classes do to help with memorization of vocabulary. First, you need to take out the list of the vocab and translate them. Then, have someone read each word in Spanish and have you translate them all down the list. When I took those classes, we were quizzed like that, although it was a timed quiz. It really helped with memorizing the words and definitions. Just do this method a few times, take a break, do it again, etc. You'll be fine.
When you get to AP, the vocab gets so much harder and the method to learn them is basically non-existent (i.e. you need to learn it yourself, somehow). I've always been good with Spanish vocab, and I'm pretty sure I did not do well on the vocab quiz I just had on Friday. :/
I'm sorry,.. I'm probably not much help. I find it easier to learn Spanish because I had to learn English before, so I've kind of picked up learning techniques,.. It also helps when you have another language to compare it to. In my case, it's German,.. >.>
