I have an idea, though JarasicJade's idea sounds lovely.

I was thinking about the infinity sign, half purple ribbon, half orange. Maybe have it look like the two are individual strands, but come together as one. Out of the center where they cross, you could put a traditional, stemless rose to act as the bonding between the two ribbons. Some text could be placed on both of the ribbons, but that could be up to you :3

My mum also has MS, though she only has known about it for a couple years, and it's been very hard with our family, so I know what it's like.

Perhaps you could have a rose in the middle up higher, and one ribbon on each side.... Or have a bouquet of roses, and the ribbon(s) tying it together, orange and purple.

Edit: I just read what JarasicJade said, and that sounds much better than my idea. :P

Ok. Well first i would like to applaud you in the struggle between you and your mothers health. It takes a lot of courage to go through that, when you aren't the person with the illness.

What I would suggest is not to get the rose with a stem attached. They look really cheesy with the stem and most artists make them look silly. I think a beautiful tri fecta of roses with ribbons wrapped around them.

Rose one is the past signifying what you have been through together

Rose two will be the future and that is why that flower will be in the center and the biggest. You don't know what's going to become of the future.
The last one will be the present. Not the biggest and best thing but it's something you are going through with your head held high.

the ribbons will be around the ribbons fading from orange to purple to orange or they could be just two individual ribbons maybe with words such as strength and courage or a quote like "I will forever love you, nothing will surpass our love."
