You're right you are selfish. I mean, seriously, you're 14 and smoking. No wonder your parents aren't letting you go to your best friends birthday. But your friend will have more birthdays, your parents will forgive you for what you did, and you'll be unpunished for it.

Go apologize. I know, it'll be hard. But you can do it. (Sorry if that sounded rude and if this makes you feel bad I'm sorry. It's my opinion.)

EDIT: it's not that you're selfish. It's more of, you don't realize that your parents want the best for you. You are 14 and smoking; they should care about that. And from the sound of it; they do.

And I know, I'm 16 and I dont fully realize how much my parents want for me.

Why can't you apologize?
