If you're always there for other people, then naturally you're gonna feel shirked if people aren't there for you. But just because your friends and family haven't been enquiring about your emotional state doesn't mean that they don't care. It's so easy to get caught up in your own problems in life that sometimes people need a little nudge in the right direction.

A lot of folks will also refrain from asking you if you're in trouble because they are afraid to pry. These are usually people who prefer to keep private themselves, and so believe they are being courteous by giving you some space too. They believe that if you want their help, you will come to them, because most likely this is the way they think when they're in trouble. In short, most people will treat you the way they would like to be treated.

I don't think you're putting up a barrier or anything like that. But you might be waiting for someone to jump out of the blue and save you, as you seem to do for other people, and superheros like that are pretty rare. I bet that if you opened up to the people close to you, rather than waiting for them to come to your rescue, they'd be more than happy to help.

I don't mean to sound sorry for myself, I just wanted to vent my feelings.
