    V Except not really.
    I mean, I don't think I'm rude.
At least not unnecessarily rude, you know?

    Rudeness is annoying.
But I find, people accusing others of being rude, are being rude themselves. :3
    I love mild irony.
People call me rude. I'm not rude. I'm just blunt.

Some rudeness is completely unintentional sometimes, I know that for a fact, but it can get a little annoying. I know some people have "bring rude" just built into their system, and it just comes out of them just as easy as laughing etc.

I really don't know what to think of those kinds of people, honestly.

But like asteroid said, it's not rude if it's genuine.
But then again, that doesn't always hold true.

Say this guy, completely chill, honest guy, met your mom and then he said," Wow, your mom's ugly!"

    It's genuine, but rude nonetheless.

    Am I right?

Yeah, rudeness is stupid, and yes, for some people rudeness does make them feel better. But for some people, bullying, sexism, racism, etc, makes them feel 'better', and to most people they are unacceptable.
From what I've seen of rudeness, it's basically just feeling more powerful than the other person, in my eyes.

i agree- rudness is wrong but for some people being rude helps them... i know that sounds a little weird but one of my best mates uses swearing, criticism and completley taking the mick so she can feel better... if that makes sense?

If people are intentionally rude, then that pisses me off. I can't stand people who taunt others and are like, "I can say whatever I want because I think it's funny!"

But if someone just posts a comment that the author takes in a negative light, I don't think that's being rude. Like someone commenting on a story saying they don't like it, and it is boring. That's not being rude. It's a genuine, honest comment.

Exactly! I think so much drama could be avoided that way. But most people don't think before they open their mouths and that's what causes them problems.
It really isn't hard to just to keep quiet.

Rudeness basically always ruins my day.

I agree. I feel like, not to be cliche, but people really should utilize the "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" rule.
