Hey. I know exactly what you mean. I've not dated someone because wel... i just haven't sound someone I wanted to go out with all that much. yeha, I'm a cool girls I guess and I do get asked out, but...that doesn't mean you have to. Don't feel abliged to go out just cuz someone asks you.
But don't be afriad to try things out either. Relationships ( Especially romantic ones) take a lot of work. chances are you're not going to find Mr. Right and suddenly you'll know exactly how to handle everything. You do need certain amount of practice. But you're young. You've still got plenty of time.

I'd say, if you can see this Zach guy and tell himin person that the reason you didn't want to go out with him isn't becuase you don;t like him...but that you're scared. It's harder to do it in person, but it's so much more sincere than a text or a message on facebook. If you tell him your fears about not wanted to get yourself into the mess of love yet, he will probably undrstand it.

If you don't like him like that, you don't like him like that. It might just be you're not ready to date, and that's okay. You're only thirteen, you've got plenty of time to date in the future.

Either way, going out with someone just so you won't hurt their feelings doesn't work. It just gets their hopes up and in the end you'll probably end up hurting them more.

I think one date wouldnt hurt ... or maybe you could just tell him that you dont want a relationship right now. im sure he would understand that. But dont say that you dont like him cause you will only make him more sad, I think ...

You know, just because you decide to date someone doesn't mean you're "going to fall in love" with him. It just means you're dating.

I don't think you should have simply walked away, you could have just told him that you weren't ready for a relationship or whatever currently. I think that you should probably call him or send him a message to explain why you did what you did though so you don't freak him out.

Date someone. You're not expected to fall in love with them.
