We did that in my classes back in high school! But it wasn't religion class, it was values class. We touched upon religion frequently, but focused on values because there are non-Christians in the school. Anyway... For The Quilt, I knew that would happen. Teehee. It's a cool way to show that "the poor will gain heaven" or something like that. I forgot how it was worded exactly. I'm sure this story will make much more impact when I'm dead, but for someone alive (this sentence is getting weird) it's a message reassuring us that our struggles are not worthless, as long as we're offering them up to the Lord. :) I don't really have a personal story to share. For Today, I guess the way it ties to religion is because we were given free will, and the poem gives choices of what we have the power to do. And it says that no matter what happens, it's our decision on how it affects us. :) I hope this helps somehow
