like all the others have said it depends on the person some people just aren't disciplined enough to be taken out of a school environment and still apply themselves to the work. Or can't hang with out being involved in social situations 24/7.

I was in public school 1st-9th grade. Then half way through my 9th grade year I was home schooled (still am). I'm allowed to stay or go back but I would rather stay I'll be graduating early next year and there's too much drama and stupid social standards in public school. Just drama that rarely even occurs in real life.

But as it's been stated the down side is the lack of people, I lost a lot of friends but I realized the ones who stuck around where the ones that really mattered. I'm enrolled in a bunch of group stuff like sports so that balances things out too.

I have never been home schooled but my sisters are and they like it. The problem is they don't have alot of friends.
I think homeschoolings better as long as you join groups or something like that where you can talk to new people and you actually work - my mums friends kids are homeschool and they just slack off

I know what you mean. I've been homeschooled half my life and the other at regular school since I move around alot. I love homeschooling since it's flexible, I don't have to get dressed up, and I can sleep in :D
But with regular school, you get much more social interaction and you get to see your friends all the time.
There's pros for each, you just have to see which one you want more.

I agree with The Warden's Wife. I was Homeschooled fifth through seventh grade. Then I went back to public school because I missed my friends. That was dumb. If I would have stayed Homeschooled I could have graduated this year, and I'm only sixteen. I miss the homeschooled life. I honestly want to go back, but my mom said I should just finish what I started - High School.

And I think there are pros and cons to both situations. Just decide which one is more for you

Well, I've never been to public school, so this is just going on what I've noticed and what I have heard, But....
I honestly think that Homeschooling is better, so long as the one being Homeschooled lives near others and gets to go out every now and then, and has tutors and and such. Because, it seems to me...That in most public schools kids are more likely to learn bad manners and the latest trend before anything actually useful, and I know a ton of public schoolers who cannot spell for their lives....And I think that Homeschooling helps the kids focus more on learning and realizing things about themselves and such before they really get all the pressure from the world to deal with.
