Plastic Surgery - Comments

  • Yeah I agree with what you're saying if your really unhappy about something on your body and you have been thinking about it for a while. But I was mostly talking about people who get excessive amounts of plastic surgery, so much surgery dont to their body that they dont even look human anymore. Like you know when you see those stars who have had so many lip injections that their lips just look swollen? I dont think that is necessary. But like you said beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I guess people can do whatever they like to their body.

  • Remove the space between the 9 and 3. Mibba has a thing about posting links in journal comments, and spaces them out like that for some reason.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'd like a nosejob, while plenty of my friends tell me I don't need it. But it's to make me happy, not them. As long as it's not excessive (I'm talking about Michael Jackson to Courtney Love standards, here) and doesn't cause harm, I just don't see the issue.

  • Jinxeh:

    Umm the link's not working...
but yeah I do agree to breast reduction surgery because if something is causing you so much pain and you can do something about it then by all means.
The only thing I dont agree with is when already beautiful people get facial surgery done, and there was no need for it in the first place. =/

  • http://www.mibba.com/journals/read/181293/ <--- My stance on plastic surgery. Quite frankly, many people dislike plastic surgery because it's not "natural," it's changing what you're supposed to have naturally, or is an "easy fix." But going along that vein, so is dying your hair, piercing your ears (or any other part of you), or even putting on makeup. We all change what we're given naturally, in various ways. Plastic surgery is simply a more permanent way to go about it.

I'll probably have plastic surgery for my breasts, within a few years. (I wear a size 0 in jeans, yet my chest is at 32 D and growing constantly...clearly, something isn't exactly proportional there. My back problems are bad enough as it is, they're only going to get worse. Reduction surgery is probably going to be the way to go, when it comes to that.)

  • I would never get plastic surgery but I'm also happy with my body and don't feel the need to change a thing. My cousin had her boobs done about two or so years ago. She's a beautiful girl and everything, but she just wasn't happy before with a small chest. So, that's why she did it but for someone to get three boob jobs and be a size E is just a bit extreme.

  • I think plastic surgery is good, to an extent.

I myself have to have plastic surgery, and I am truly happy that the surgeries are available.

As for surgery just for appearance, I would never get it done, but I know people who have, and it has improved their lives.

Either way, I don't really mind. As long as you don't look like a 2$ hooker.

  • That's gross.
How can you be so insecure that you get plastic surgery. You should be proud of who/what you are.

  • You know, plastic surgery is a good thing if you got in a horrible accident/ seriously burned and you need repairs FAST!!! But just for fun, or because you feel bad about your body, than it is just terrible. It makes everyone just look the same, and like Barbies, and you know what, I do not like seeing plastic dolls walking around the streets.

    SUPER CREEEPY!

  • i dont think its a good thing... God made us who we are and we should love ourselves no matter what

  • It depends. Per say, if someone had big breasts; they're really hard to the back and neck. Plastic surgery to get them reduced would be a good idea.

  • My dad said he'd buy my plastic surgery.
If only I had you know, brought up the fact that I was interested.

  • an E? Eeeewww.... that's just too much...

And Nagi is personally not a fan of the plastic surgery, unless, like you said, it's constructive for accidents or burn victims. Heck, she has a scar on her mouth that she refuses she to get rid of. Mostly because of her fear of knives and needles, but either way. Plus, she believes you're made the way you are for a reason- one looks good on one person looks absolutely dreadful on another.

That and, look at Micheal Jackson. Not that I'm bashing him (not a fan of the genre of music, so I can't really have a chance at a different opinion) but he just got too freaking much done.

You should be comfortable with yourself! Plus, Nagi likes all the variation in body types. If everyone got the surgery done, then what would we have left? No originality, that's for sure. *sigh*
