I recently lost my best friend too. Not for your reason but a few others. I don't like talking about it because it really hurts espeically since we have been through so much in the last 8 years on our friendship that's now gone but think about all the great friends you have now to hold onto. You may not be friends forever with all of them but you have them now. If Nellie isolated herself from you and her other friends then it's fault for thinking that would really make things better.

Maybe you and Nellie weren't meant to be to close anyway. I mean the way I see it, losting a friend just means that there is a better one out there for you.

That kind of drama is exactly what happened between me and the girl I thought was my best friend. She talked about us to Xanga people behind our backs, to strangers. She talked about how horrible her life was and how she had no friends (which was complete bull), until I found out and told everyone she had talked about. One of her real-life "best friends" from her other school even came to my Myspace and b*tched me out about a post I'd made six months prior.

I let it all go after that. I was civil with her, but avoided her like the plague. Once she was out of my life, everything got better for me. I became a better person once I cut her out. I totally get where you're coming from, and I commend you for taking the higher road.
