v The first season's available on Netflix streaming :D and you can find it online free, too, if you don't mind iffy picture quality and waiting a bit for it to load.
I dunno, queer teens have had an amazingly high suicide rate for quite a long time without much mainstream recognition that it's a problem or why that might possibly be. (Gee, I wonder... *strokes chin* *g*) Obviously suicide in itself is a problem, but I don't really get why so many people are ticked that other people are recognizing that queer teens are at higher risk, especially with the rash of highly publicized suicides by queer and possibly queer teens lately.
I hope that in the future, like miss legit schmuck; has said, it does turn into an awareness for all those who have committed suicide. The problem now is that there shouldn't be ANY bullying because of someone's sexual preference, that's what the wearing purple day is about. People shouldn't even care about someone else's sexuality. Homosexuality seems to be a bigger problem since there is so MUCH hate and ignorance against it. It's about being selective for now, because it's a much delicate topic and further down the line, if people can begin to accept homosexuality (a topic that is against many religions and the beliefs of so many people) then think of how easily it will be to stop bullying for the various other reasons.
I hope you understood that.
