What is the world coming to? - Comments

  • Agreed. Seriously, all people have to do is say sorry when they're wrong and try their best to make up for it instead of blaming everything else in the form of lawsuits.

  • What I don't get is why people download stuff like Limewire or Frostwire when they could just buy an iPod Touch with the Youtube app and listen to whatever they wanted whenever they wanted. Derr. It's not any different than listening to a regular iPod. And if you want to make a mix CD or something, just get an iTunes gift card for your birthday or something and use it for the CD. I'm sure one $25 iTunes gift card is enough for one CD's worth of songs. Stuff is so easy nowadays, but people don't take the extra step to make it legal.
Still, I kind of think that's a ridiculous fine. Just make the woman pay a fee and that's it. She probably won't do it again because it would be counterproductive. The songs would cost less than the fine. >.>

I agree with the McDonald's thing. It's not their fault people come there to eat. Like, really, what are they supposed to do? Put a sign in the window warning people that if they eat there every day they'll get fat? Honestly. It's common knowledge. It's your choice to eat there, and it's no fault of the restaurant's. I guess some people would say if the restaurant didn't exist, there would be no problems, but then again there are people with good metabolism that like a treat once in a while, or even just normal people because once in a while isn't going to make you fat. And they don't deserve to have that taken away from them. :/

  • Piracy has always been a big issue, ever since Napster back in the '90s. And, really? I'll be damned if the artists don't have a right to be upset over it. granted, the companies chose her to prove a point, after keeping the issue quiet for a while, but still.
    Not unjustified.

Call me selfish, but they're making a point - at least they're not going after everyone.
Yeah, I'm a terrible freak of a person - I endorse capitalism in the entertainment industry.

Say it's the parent's responsibility to say no to their kid, but if your parents refused to 'negotiate' with you, half the site would complain and moan about it. Unfair deduction, for that reason. Not that the parent shouldn't discipline their kid, but meethinks your accusations don't match personal experience.

  • Well music to me you shouldn't have to pay for unless you are buying the CD. So I don't feel sorry for anyone who ends up downloading and having to pay for it.

No more happy meals? That's dumb, but I did hear months ago about someone or some company suing MD because they are persuading adults to buy their kids happy meals which is an unhealthy meal with a toy. -Rolls eyes-

Anyone who wants to sue a fast food joint just because they gained weight is a dumbass! Just because you are too lazy to cook for yourself does not mean the fast food restaurants have to get sued for it! And no one said you had to eat MD all the time!

    People these days
