I just bought my cat and my sister's dog toys for Christmas. Even though I guess they don't realize what is going on, I like to give presents to everyone, including them. So when we open our presents, they can too! But on the other hand, I know my sister's dog is much more captivated by screwing the wrapping than by the actual present... And my cat couldn't care less about new toys! So I guess I'm just doing it because, like you said, I like to give presents to everyone.
