And what if Justin Bieber really was a girl? - Comments

  • I'd probably still make fun of him. He'd just be another Disney singer, and I make fun of them anyway.

  • Taylor Lautner is an ugly girl.

No worries, happens all the time. I wouldn't bother to correct it if it weren't my name. When people call me 'Adam' it's absolutely crushing.

I don't think it makes it any less painful for a celebrity. Instead of friends insulting him, it's everyone. Opening yourself up to the entire world's criticism doesn't make it any easier to take it.

  • Aaden Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was mispelling it :(
Aha, no, I just wanted to make sure; sometimes people read my philosphical rambling as insulting, when I'm really just curious :)
Mmm, I can see your point (I'm not sure if that would offend me, though, it would depend on the spirit of the picture). However, I think that comes with the celebrity territory, y'know?

Thank you! (Bee-Tee-Dubs, Aaden, not Aiden.) I find it offensive that people honestly sit around trying to make these people look like women. I realize that some people find it funny, that's it's purpose, and in no way am I trying to insult you or otherwise for finding it laughable. But you have to look at it from Justin Beiber's point of view. Would he find it funny, or would it upset him? Personally, if someone photoshopped my face onto a man's body and posted it on the internet, I would cry about it.

I completely realize the point, in no way did your journal offend me. I was trying to respond in the best way I could, I'm sorry if I made you think I was upset about the content. I think it's good that you actually thought about it enough to write a logical journal on the subject.

  • v. He's still following me. File
But ah, the conversations we had. Though, his wife and I talked more I think.

  • @Bella
Reminds me of the old days with Twitter and J. Ross following you and legit stuff.

  • AccidentlyAiden: (Love the username, btw) Errr...the people who make the internet succesful? I believe that's an OceanUP picture, if you wanted a specific picture.
    Did you find it...offensive?
That's an interesting point, about Lady Gaga.

Just to point out, this was meant as purely philosophical. As in, if their main issue with him is that he sounds like a girl...and thus, if he was a girl, would his music suddenly be considered good?
It's not meant to offend, like I said, or insinuate that he is a girl.
    January 8th, 2011 at 10:35pm
  • I wouldn't really care either way. I'm not a fan of his music in the first place, so if he -was- a female, that wouldn't change at all. People just need to stop making fun of him; yeah, not everyone likes him (or even HAS) to like him, but it's hurtful comments like that that can lead to self-destruction.

  • 1.) Most likely. I only make fun of him now because two of my friends are crazily obsessed with him, and I fail to see any of the "omgz superrr amuhzing talent" that he seems to possess. But other than to p*ss off my friends do I actually care enough to talk about him.
2.) Rolemodel I guess. But I'd still make fun of her. :D
    3.) Lol.
    January 8th, 2011 at 10:29pm
  • Rachel Mine too. J-Ross ftw.
    January 8th, 2011 at 10:27pm
  • 1. No. Because then his voice would fit him perfectly xD..Actually if he sang about love at the age of 15, even if he was a girl, then yes I would. What does he know about all that crap? his a Kid for christ sake lol.

    2. A rolemodel hands down, if people can look up to me, then theres no better feeling in the world knowing I can make a difference.

    3. Bieber makes quiet the stunning female LOL...and taylor..No comments on him (O__O)

  • v. MAKES MY LIFE.
    January 8th, 2011 at 10:23pm
  • v. I already seen it! LOVED IT! Seriously, that 'stache is so crazy. He looks like a Disney villain. :D
    January 8th, 2011 at 10:22pm
  • @Bella
Oh god, Jonathan Ross' stache is the greatest and most ridiculous thing ever. If you haven't you should check out Big Fat Quiz of the Year for 2010. There was a joke and said joke was a funny. :3

  • I agree with AccidentallyAeden entirely.
    January 8th, 2011 at 10:20pm
  • I'd say the fan base would be smaller, because I know a lot of people who like him who say "OMG JU5TIN B33BER IZ SOOOOOOOOO HAWT OMG !!!!!!!!!!!111111111!!!!!!!!" and don't particularly even like his music.

    1. I don't "make fun" of him, really. I just dislike his music, which doesn't really have much to do with his gender.

    2. Female role model. I'd rather he was liked for being a good person rather than being good-looking.

    3. I like them both. Alot. I have an album on facebook of awesome pictures and I intend to put those in there!

  • People wonder if Lady Gaga is secretly a man, but I doubt her fanbase would suffer if it were true that she was. The reality of it is, people like her for who she is, what she says, how weird she is, what have you. And her gender changing is only going to add to that intrigue. With Justin Beiber, it's different because he's aimed at a different fanbase, and that type of scandal wouldn't do well for him.

    1. I don't make fun of him anyway, but I don't enjoy his music. That wouldn't change.
    2. Rolemodel; I'd like to actually do something people will admire.
    3. I don't find it amusing, and I wonder who sits around and makes those types of things.
    January 8th, 2011 at 10:17pm
  • I joke about him looking/sounding like a girl all the time. But to be fair I also make fun of Cary Elwes (whom I LOVE) for having some chub and I make fun of Jonathan Ross (AWESOME) for having some crazy 'stache going on. I make fun of everything, including myself.

    1. Probably, as explained above I make fun of everything and only as a joke, not as in I hate him or whatever.
    2. Rolemodel, definitely.
    3. Taylor still looks like a clay pug. :D
    January 8th, 2011 at 10:17pm
  • I don't like his music, but people are way too mean to this kid.

    1. This first question is cruel - I don't make fun of him! D:
    2. Male, leave the poor kid alone to be who he is.
    3. Lol, no.
