Arthritis at 18. Anyone else out there? - Comments

  • My dad was diagnosed with RA when he was about 22 years old. He used to be a plumber so when he got older and it got worse, that pretty much fucked his life.
So, I feel you you, but on a different level.

  • I'm eighteen and have arthritis. I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my wrists and to a certain extent in my spine I have rheumatoid arthritis, always have had believe it or not. The only way to relieve the pain in my spine is to constantly be popping it pretty much. I'm also sway-backed, but the only way to fix that is metal rods in the back, aligning your spine again. I also have major bad shoulder blade pain but I think that comes from my breasts being in the bigger percentile. xD

Either way though, I understand your pain. I'm also very sorry for you. :/

  • My best friend had arthritis when she was six. She walked with a limp for a couple of years and it was a tough time, but she survived.

When life is at its worst, know that things can only get better.

  • Sorry I can't, but my cousin was diagnosed with arthritis in high school. Now he's like 25 and he's doing just fine
