Sometimes a band is just done. Music is something that they need to make and want to make. Fall Out Boy was amazing (personally everything From Under the Cork Tree and back was not so much after that). I think their music went down hill a bit and it reflected where the band was going. They broke up (most likely for good) because that is what the band needed. You still have their old songs to listen to and there will always be other bands.
