To drink or not to drink? - Comments

  • Go with your gut, just don't over do it. I agree with meganlessthanthree as much as I drink (and I fear i'm being a mini alchoholic) I rarely get sick or forget things. If I do I remember what I do just not what I drank. Anywho, whatever you chose just be careful and don't over do it especially if its your first time.
I also agree with everyone else weed is actually less harmful then drinking is for you. But, yea...

go with your gut and be careful.

  • I think if you don't want to drink, you shouldn't.
My friends party, i do too, but i don't drink or smoke or anything like that, i just go to watch the most amusing thing ever; drunk emotional teenagers trying to dance.
Personally, i think alcohol is just gross, so i don't touch it. I think you just need to remind yourself what kind of person you are, and stay away from the person you don't wanna be.
    That always helps me (:

  • There is nothing wrong with drinking on occasion. But the whole self respect thing is about binging and doing something totally stupid. Its not worth getting a lable over. AND IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!

If you want to know what the feeling of intoxication is like i consider building up to it. Have a drink to night then some other night drink a little more. Dont push it on the first time =) it wont be fun in the morning

  • I hate alcohol, drugs, cigarettes - everything like that. But it's your own choice. Personally, I'd say not to drink, but if you want to, go ahead. Just make sure you know what you're getting into. (I feel like a parent.)

  • Honestly, I think weed is healthier than alcohol. You can't overdose on weed, but you can overdose on alcohol. Weed has never killed anyone.

  • @Mercades Benzedrien But is a little social drinking with a few friends that I trust really saying that I don't respect myself? A lot of respectable people drink, including some of my idols. John and Hank Green (author and musician, respectively, and both Youtube video bloggers) are two very inspiring people who I look up to greatly, and as far as I know, they both drink on occasion. I don't, like, respect them any less.

I don't know, I'm kind of curious as to what all the fuss is about. I can't really explain why I want to try it, but I think I do. I don't even know.

  • Have a few drinks.. its normal for teens to experiment, but if youre friends are just as shitfaced as you who do you think is going to protect you?

  • Embrace innocents! You don't have to be another mindless teenager. Drinking is actually more harmful than weed... believe it or not.

I'm not some above the influence crazy teen- in fact i probably shouldn't even be commenting on this with my record. Its really hypocritical! But they look like they're having fun... and probably are... but you can have so much more fun screwing with them in there intoxicated state =)

Drinking to get forget what it's like to live your life is going to back fire on you =( Don't do that to yourself. It leads to no where good. Have self respect. you deserve it.

  • I think you should do what you want to. Not what seems like "fun" not what seems like "a way to forget," just what you think is right.

If you think you should drink, drink. But maybe, maybe you shouldn't get drunk. Maybe, if it's possible, you can have a couple, but I don't think you have to get drunk. I would just rather wake up and remember all the fun and crazy things that happened the night before. Not to mention, it'd be a lot safer.

I dunno. That's just my opinion.

  • People don't always throw up when drinking. I only get sick if I eat something heavy before drinking (like tacos, or spaghetti). And I usually remember everything.

I'm not saying go out and drink, but be aware and careful if you do.
