I, personally, don't believe in ghosts and such, and think there's always a logical explanation to things.
Sometimes I guess it'd be pretty damn convincing, though. I swear I've seen my dead uncle before in my kitchen. What's even creepier is that the dog saw him, too. O_O
Though there's loads of explanations as to why I thought I saw what I saw.
But this seems pretty interesting, I would consider it a blessing and a curse, but hey, everything has pros and cons. I'd think you were more special for it. If you really do see all these real things and such, then you are quite the amazing subject...Especially as a writer. I'd say get all the details of what you see and make sure you use it in your books, poetry. Who knows what you might know that others don't. But I don't believe in using gifts like this for commercial use like becoming a medium or whatever they call them, but that's just me.
My mother always said that my older sister was a psychic as a baby, she always knew before/when something bad was going to happen and told my mom.
Me? I saw a lot of stuff when I was a kid, it messed me up real bad, I remember saying I was hearing voices telling me to kill my whole family...And I also remember becoming so paranoid I was almost never calm...But now? I never see anything, so I pretty much assume it was my imagination.
