Reading things like this make me ill. - Comments

  • Soooo does anyone else think that who ever wrote the passage should be...um..lets say...baker acted? If your talking about killing people you have never met before, I will say this about them: you are not God. Don't try to play the part because you don't do it well, dear.

& I wouldn't say they aren't worth existing for writing it but I do think they need a major psych evaluation.

  • owl eyes *nods* I've been apart of GSA and GLSEN activities, support groups for LGBTQ youth and have seen the hate that they deal with and it's upsetting and to see such hatred from within the community is appalling.

  • cheerupsunshine I would tell you but I'm not at liberty to disclose that information simply for the fact that it would be wrong. I can say that the person who wrote it has a large array of psychological problems, though that could have caused such an outburst. I've spent hours talking to them before but stopped when I realised how demented they were. I myself am a fairly insensitive person but things like that throw me over the edge.

silk tea. Censored. I really wasn't looking forward re-reading that passage to censor it in the first place but if it's worth saving my own ass on this website... *shrug* And monstre sort of captured my thoughts on what you said.

  • Obviously whoever took the time to write that incredibly offensive and ignorant passage failed to realize that women can just just as abusive as men, if not even more so. They actually proved that point just by writing it, so way to go. Haha.

But I agree with you, definitely.
We don't need to spread hate within the LGBTQ community,
as there is already plenty of it coming from the outside.
Plus, like you said, all that person is doing is providing even more negative examples of the community for the prejudiced to feed on.

  • silk tea. While I do, to some extent, agree that bashing right back will do no good, I must disagree with the, "That's just as wrong as what they're saying." I say that we have a right to express just how vile the passage and the one who wrote it is. No matter how ideal it may be, we just don't live in a world in which people like this necessarily deserve to be treated right when addressing this particular matter.

  • You need to censor the swears in that passage.

And while I agree that what they said is horrible and wrong, you're doing the exact same thing by saying "shame on your for existing." That's just as wrong as what they're saying.
