Mibba's Change to Social Networking and Fakes - Comments

I don't think being here to talk to others is a bad thing. There's nothing wrong with it at all. I mean, the way I see it is that mibba would be pretty boring if we couldn't speak to others.

You're not allowed to call someone a fake as it is public ridicule or harassment. So you can report those people for breaking the rules as well. When you think someone is fake, you need to report them and not harass them. The mods will handle it.

I honeslty don't see the social networkiness of Mibba. Am I blind? I don't hang out in the New User wing, and I'm not soley chatting on the Forums. Maybe I just spend more time writing than hanging around here.

Oh, man. I didn't know people were getting so annoyed with the social parts of Mibba. There's still plenty of writing, so I'm not bothered by the additional purpose. I like it, actually. It's cool talking to new people, and being as painfully shy as I am in person, it gives me an easier way of communicating with people. There are lots of awesome users on here, anyway, so there's nothing wrong with socializing a little more. :)

I get what you mean in a way. It seems a lot of times, people sign up on Mibba just to chat. I mean, some people don't post stories and join only to read stories, but some come just to chat. I mean, I don't see any harm, as long as they're not breaking the rules. I know that there will always be good stories to read on Mibba, and friendly users to chat with when I don't feel like reading/posting my own stories. Besides, I don't think Dujo would let Mibba go to the pits like Quizilla did. He's worked too hard for that.

And with what you've said about the fakes, it's actually against the rules to call someone a fake. (Not meaning you, I mean whoever you're referring to.) Not only that, but Audrey and the other admins have even said that having someone else's photo as your profile photo is allowed, but claiming to be them is not.

So really, if you see someone calling someone else fake, you should politely remind them of the rules, and if they continue, report them, because it's the right thing to do. :)
