I totally agree with you. Drinking and doing drugs is completely stupid and it just makes everything worse rather than better. My dad was addicted to drinking and supposedly heroin(I don't know, he didn't have custody of my sister and I when he was I guess) and it really screwed up his life.
Kids don't really care about the consequences, they just like thinking that they're older, when really they have absolutely no responsibility.

I get where you're coming from. A lot of my friends are into that kind of stuff, and I just never get why. Admittedly, I've smoked pot, but I didn't do it often before I decided it just wasn't worth it. Beyond that, I'm actually very extreme in my views on alcohol and such. I hate it. So much.
My family has a history of alcoholism, but I just can't stomach the stuff (not even when it's in something like rum cake), and I'm so sick of drunk driving. People get so STUPID when they're not in their right minds, and it's destructive to themselves and everyone around them. Honestly, I'd prefer it if alcohol was flat-out illegal. Prohibition, y'know? Realistically, it wouldn't happen. Just a wish...
