I read and write slash because it's hot (we're all thinking it) :) I like to believe my ship is canon (Remus/Sirius) and it gives me great pleasure to write/read happy fics about them because they never got that in the books. Boys kissing is yummy for me since I'm hetero and don't like reading about girls :D

I write original fiction now, and rarely read fanfiction and I don't really think I have a preference regarding the couple I'm writing about. If the plot is about a het couple, then it's het. Sometimes I think up two female leads, so it's femmeslash. Same for slash. I don't write slash/femmeslash/het for the sake of it. I write what the story calls for.

1st. Slash is fun to write.

2nd. I like vampire/werewolf stories. They;ve existed for hundreds of years, can't see why they should stop now.

3rd. I make effort in something that I want to be judged with high standards. Otherwise, I'll go with the flow, just a fun story to read without to much seriousness.

4th. I think that'll happen everywhere because everyones ideas are based on something and that something could influence another.

I write/read some slash because I happen to like the pairings. I write anime fanfiction and I tend to like a lot of pairings from animes I happen to love, and some of those just so happen to be slash, femmeslash, and even heterosexual.

This site is full of teenagers, and vampires/werewolevs happen to be what's "in" right now. So that's what everyone wants to write about. Personally, I don't want to read a cliche love story.... I want a story about a blood sucking, muderous vampire. Unforutuantely, no one writes those though. Vampire love stories are so boring to me.

Can I just point out what you said here "Oh, I've got glasses, it's too hard to read the rules." do people actually use that? I mean, I have glasses to help me see better which is what they do. But people actual use that excuse? It'd be hard to read it without my glasses but not with them. That is complete bullsh*t.

I've never used it as an excuse. I only admitted it about 2 weeks ago to my readers when I had a comment on my last story 'Recurring Dreams' I know it probably sounds like one, but I've never admitted it like I said. Just be glad I didn't start writing on here till I was 17... I found out I had it when I was 13... it was terrible back then, but writing stories has helped get rid of the major part of it, if you read my current story you'll barely see any mistakes on it because I've tried to get rid of the problem myself. My teachers at High School didn't help me at all... they left me to deal with the problem alone and my grades in English were crap...
I started writing stories as soon as I found out, because I told my mum and she suggested it. (she's never read any of my stories but she's interested in the one I'm writing at the minute) :-)
I just like to let people know so if they see a mistake just to let me know where it is so I can get rid of it straight away because I DO check my stories through and through about 5 times before I post it. Plus my story has been on the list for about... 1 1/2 year now... so yea... that's plenty of time to check it and say yes...

And Thank You :-) I'm a huge fan of Johnny Knoxville xD you should see my profile also, its pretty cool XD

@Johnny Knoxville. First, I love your username.

Thank you for your feedback, I love how you've really told me what you think. The thing with being reported, is that a lot of people are being reported. So I think you'd need to wait a while before it could be cleared.

The fact that you have a medical condition, if I may call it so, is an 'excuse' if you will that many a person will use. "Oh, I've got glasses, it's too hard to read the rules." Which is complete bullshit. You can zoom your browser. However, I do know that that could be a problem for you, and I think that it may be unfair to say, but I suppose you just need that touch more effort in your work. Or perhaps draft it first, then re-read it.

    1. I don't mind Slash really... I just don't read it as much because its not something I am into. I'm more into action stories with sex at all... It's not that I'm homophobic its just I don't like reading it sometimes... I'll read it every now and again, its just not my number 1 favourite thing to read if you get me.

    2. Lol, I'm not much of a vampire/werewolf fan to be honest... yea I'm writing a story about a vampire/witch girl who's going to school at Hogwarts but I'm not overly 'OMG LOOK ITS A HOT SEXY VAMPIRE' way lol... the only thing I love is the idea of Meyers perception of vampires... I mean she completely changed it.

    3. I've never reported stories, i've had one of mine reported for putting a character info in a chapter. I forgot when I did it but corrected it as soon as I got a message. The report still hasn't been cleared... >.> Though I do have Dyslexia, so the problem there is I try so hard to make sure there are no mistakes but I always make some when I don't mean too... :-(

    4. Great Minds Think Alike. I've never copied people's ideas. Mine are ALL from my mind, I watch a film think about an element from that film and BOOM a firework full of ideas explodes within my mind. Though I do hate it when I see ideas are copied. Unless its fanfiction I understand it then because its going to be similar to the thing they are writing about.

@JustALittleGirl I've done that a lot, left it in the comments. But see, when people have stories, a lot of the time they just want comments, regardless of what is within them. So I feel like reporting them is the best way to catch attention and really tell them what's wrong without sweetening it. I prefer letting people know what's up while being anonymous. I've run into some people that have completely raged at me for pointing things like that out. I can't be dealing with that, I'm here to be here. Not here to get people to be pissed at me.

@merci pour le venin; Don't worry about the length, I'm looking for strong answers. I love how you've supported your points. I've asked a friend or two and have received answers as follows: 'I read it because I like it', and they don't seem to understand that I want to know why. Thank you for answering though.

I totally agree with your last answer, but in some cases it's just too alike to be passed off. For instance, I read a story somewhere on here that was remarkably like a film. I don't remember much of either of them, but I must say, the story actually had quotes woven in subtly enough that a lot of people didn't notice.

Thank you for your feedback, though.

You shouldn't jump to reporting them. Point 'em out to the writer, because we all make mistakes sometimes, and if they don't change them, then report them.

I like slash. I really really do. I don't know why, exactly. Maybe it's because I've read too many heterosexual stories and now I'm just more interested in slash. I don't know. Oh, and it is fun to write. (:

I think that the vampire phase of the world has kind of toned down a bit, in my opinion. I don't see that many stories about them anymore. But, I see the fascination. People that can't age, that stay beautiful forever but they have a curse. Meh, I can see it.

Some people don't try a lot, I will agree. But I rarely report a story, usually I just give advice to the author about how they could improve their writing.

I have noticed that. But, I think sometimes people just want to write their own version of a story. Like, fan fictions of movies or books often do. I'll agree though, that some of the stories on the internet are extremely alike.

Sorry for the long comment. xD

@JustALittleGirl I report things like lots of spelling errors, lack of paragraphs, character descriptions, just the sort of stuff that's in the report tab.

I like slash because it's natural and happens in the world. Thus making it realistic (of course, it's not all happy and fluffy like people write). I like vampire, but only the proper ones, not the sparkle ones (don't even think they're vamps). What type of stuff do you report for? And yes, I see that. It's why I try and keep my details and big plot like unique, in my own way.
