And maybe this makes me a horrible person, but...I'm not unhappy that Osama is dead.  - Comments

  • I agree with ignorance.always. I didn't cry or anything because I don't often cry, especially on things that aren't extremely personal to me, but I'm definitely sad that humans rejoice in death. :/

  • People cheered when he died, like when a football team makes a touch down. My ex-military teachers took a day off of school. I heard people tell me it was great he was dead. Honestly I mourned. Not because I believed in him. Not because I thought he was great. Not because I sided with him.
I believe he was a horrible person.
But I mourned because humans rejoice in the death of their enemies.
I mourned because death is permanent. Because we did what has been taught forever "an eye for an eye".
We are no better than we ever were.
    BUT!
    It's perspective.
It's how you were raised socially.

You could be a bad person, you could be a good person. Who's really to judge?

  • I don't think, now that he is dead, that people will cease to be hurt by the group that he led. The other people of his organization might take revenge on the United States because there leader was killed and that is what some people are afraid of. Just because one person is dead, doesn't mean everyone is safe. But that is just my opinion.
