I really like this. And I feel similarly. People just throw the word around and it drives me crazy. My friend and I use the term "Movie Syndrome" for what you're talking about. People have it when they just want to be in love to say their in love, and live out this beautiful, perfect, fantasy of a relationship, like in a romance movie. Or like you say, they're blinded by what the word is supposed to mean, and can't see past that. I'm probably accused of misusing it too, but I also know I'm in love, and it's really nothing like I imagined. And it's definitely not like it looks in the movies. It's better, but in a weird way. I'm sure you know what I mean, despite my rambling. This really made me think though. Thanks for posting it :)
