I can't stand status whores on fb. Seriously I either delete or hide them from my news feed because I can't stand having to look at
"If I get 100 likes on this status I'll shave my head!"
"Like this for my first impression of you."
"Put 1 if you loved me once put 2 if I ever broke your heart put 3 if this status makes you want to drop kick a baby put 4 if you wonder why in the world someone would ever publically admit on facebook of all places that this person broke your heart put 5 if this whole status is redundant"
I sososososos agree with you. Facebook is alright, I'm not so into it, I don't even have a huge friends list like a lot like to put they have. Nonetheless, this is exactly what I have noticed, people act so much like attention whores. "Like this and I tell you _____", "I'm bored" and the common ":'(", it's ok to be so bored and just post something so utterly pointless. It isn't ok when you post that you're sad, and ask why no one ever cares if im feeling down. And once someone actually does ask, you either reply "its nothing" or you flip out on them saying you are annoying because you ask too much questions. Haha, long story i had happen a while ago to me. But people do it because facebook grants you easy attention from others, and some just honestly don't have much of a life outside FB.
v Facebook is full of drama queens and attention whores. Which is why I'm very selective about who I add to FB in the first place. I know people with hundreds of friends...I have about 40, half of those are family, and if someone repeatedly starts unnecessary drama, they're blocked.
A lot of this is why I deleted my Facebook. Especially when people post a status that is literally just ":(" and when people ask "What's wrong?" they either reply with "nothing" or "nevermind". It just gets me irritated, they obviously wanted people to ask so why not either tell them or don't post the status at all?
Why does ANYONE feel the need to broadcast their sh-t on Facebook? My best friend and I were just talking about this the other day--people who have arguments on FB, start drama, b-tch about whoever angered them that day...Totally unnecessary. =/
