Not every user writes, they like to read or they use the site as like...a personal blog where they write journals and have people from this site help with a problem or something. I know I used to write ALL DAY LONG. I don't really know what happened. I really want to start up again. As for the users that are "fake"- report them and move on. They have no common sense, their brains are still sponges if they're 11-13, they just want to look 'cool'. They will figure out one day that its okay to be who you are, not try to pretend to be someone your clearly not.
Looking at Stars: You didn't read the entire thing. "I have no reason to rant, because mostly, they're not doing me any harm (unless they're trolls...even at that point, I just report them...I don't rant about it, though.)" I get it. They don't affect me. I don't care, because I wanted to rant about it.
turn off the lights: Yeah, and I totally get people joining just to read. That's fine. But don't attempt to do things you could just as easily do on Facebook on a completely inappropriate site for those kind of things.
Yes those fakes are annoying and their abouts are similar too and it's like You aren't really fooling anyone. Well at times there's times people who are fooled.
Also it really wouldn't kill them just to post one journal now and again. Like sunset said some people just read and that's it but then some people think it's just a place for socializing and putting up pictures.
The. Anonymous. One.: Sorry you don't appreciate that, but I would have bashed myself when I was 13, too. It's what writers do. They progress and progress and then they look back and say, "Wow, I was really stupid." I just so happen to be criticizing other, younger, more impatient writers...most of which, more often than not, call themselves "authors."
You're entitled to your opinion, I suppose. Sorry you don't appreciate mine.
I don't appreciate how you basically bashed the hopes of all of the "tween" writers for getting published. Of course it's tough to get in but. to basically say its impossible and to not even try is ridiculous. Otherwise we wouldn't have any books at all. Also, grouping that all "tweens" are the same way is no where near the truth. It just like adults going around saying: "I"m so tired of all these dang teenagers!"... We all experience these stages of life, so why criticize each other for it? (Just my opinion)
Sadly, it seems like Mibba has become a freakin social network for teenie boppers that usually never do anything but either a) troll b) comment on every fake emo boys profile. Like, go to bloody Myspace or back to Facebook.
the power of justice: Lmao, I know. And it's so obvious because then, even the non-writers who comment on the crappy writers' writing have not actually read what they're commenting on, because, duh, they have no interest in good literature (or at least, they've never read anything over one hundred pages, let alone written one.)
Oh my God, I agree so much. You know what really irks me? Mibba is a writing site, a way for authors to share stories and for other people to read them. SO IT JUST PEES ME OFF WHEN AUTHORS AND READERS WRITE WITH HORRIBLE GRAMMAR. You express an interest in literature but you can't even have the time to just do a brief spell check?
Haha, I'm so sick of the emo wannabe teeny-boppers on this site. They write really awful stories with long emo sounding titles and the non-writers make comments like "more plzz!!! dis is lyk so fantastic!!!11!!!!"
LOL, I agree. Kiddies ages 11-13 annoy me more than anything in this world. Too dramatic for me!
But yeah, I get that some are here to read, and that's acceptable. But just here to make this a social networking site like Facebook or *shudder* Myspace, unacceptable.
Sunset: I get that. But still, my biggest problem is not that people don't write...it's the fact that they're fake, and it's obvious that they have no interest in literature whatsoever.
