You do have the right to be pissed... But a year? Girl, that's a long time. Perhaps your friend, BLH, perhaps thought there was a five-second rule on guys, or in your case, a year. I'm not saying she's right at all, friends don't do that to eachother... But I am just trying to give you what she possibly was thinking. It was a b*tch move, though. And... I think you should tell this guy how you feel. Ignore the BLH and her feelings, as she ignored yours..but maybe you can change things. Sounds a bit vengeful, I know, but this should not cost your happiness.
