I'm a christian, but I believe that it's fine...I mean, I've been questioning my sexuality for awhile...

my mom doesn't agree with it, but she's not going to be all no, don't speak to me. I mean, my cousin is gay. Just because you don't agree with it, doesn't mean you can't be nice and friendly to people....just be tolerant to who they are, you don't have to agree with it.

Hmmm, I have a sort of--balanced, for lack of a better word--opinion on it.

While, as you know, I am Christian, I do think that if two people love each other--not the way us teenagers try to make love seem (no offense, 'cause I'm a teen as well)--then they deserve to be together. It is a matter of how much you love someone that counts. I have many of friends--to name a couple, Sue and Maria--who together and I love them with all my heart.

I have a very strange view on the faiths of all religion. I think that some intertwine together and each one connects. Therefor, if you are willing to fight for what you love--as gays/lezs/bies/ect do so hard--then you deserve the ultimate reward: LOVE. Be it in any form.

While all of that may stand, I also agree with your statement: But at the same time, I'm probably not likely to go to a gay wedding either. I wouldn't feel to comfortable in that sort of situation, either.

To total it all, I don't think your opinion makes you a bad person. Like all these other lovely people are saying, so long as you don't bash them, you are only stating how you feel--which is exactly what the journal section is for. <3

    Its all about religion.
One of my friends told me that in the bible it says marriage is between a man and a woman.
And seeing two people of the same sex marry angers a lot of people.
But I believe if you're in love with someone, you should have the right to marry that person.

If you are at odds with the two things, you should find a happy medium. I believe religion is a sort of personal translation. I've heard that some racists, the KKK (to name some), believe that the bible specifically states that they are better than others. I mean, where? Ha, ha. It depends how you translate it.

Lots of Christians are homosexual or people that believe that it's perfectly fine to love who you love.

    rose; Of course ^-^

Lante; I mean if Christan's think a skin color is not a choice then do they also think sexual orientation is not a choice?

I don't understand what you mean about the skin color there...

While your opinion is does hurt some, it doesn't make you a bad person because you're not intentionally hurting anyone. As long as you're not deliberately hurting someone and trying to deny us our rights as human beings, there's no issue with the opinion. At least I don't think.

ladyschrei;; thank you sweetie that means a lot to me

The Lante Express;; Yes, God loves us, but at the same time, that doesn't mean he has to love the things that we do. Some people are said to be born more pron to violence, but does that mean we have to accept violence?

I don't agree with gay marriage either, I don't mind that people of same sex are together.

Well that is your opinion, though i am confused...I'm not sure what religion says it but I have heard that "God loves his children" and how God made us or whatever. so why would he make a person he wouldn't love? I mean if Christan's think a skin color is not a choice then do they also think sexual orientation is not a choice?

See this is why i can't stand religion, but that's just me. Anyways that is your opinion. And lost seriously, grow up okay? Not everyone you meet is going to have the same views as you.

It doesn't make you a bad person. Not at all. As long as you don't bash people who are gay/bi/lesbian/etc., which you obviously don't, then you're not a monster or villian or anything else.

I don't find what you believe wrong at all. I'm a lesbian, but I really only have a problem if someone is outright saying a whole bunch of things against being gay itself. I don't hate the people who thing that way, no matter how harsh, but it makes me slightly angry when it's like that. -if that makes sense. xD-

I agree with TheHorrorRomantic. Though I don't believe having your own opinion makes you a bad person, I think more people would understand if you gave more of an explanation as to why you don't agree with gay marriage.

Lost;; I don't want to offend anyone, but honestly, I don't agree with it.

TheHorrorRomantic;; a lot of it is religious honestly. I may not be the best Christian, but I do try to hold to very strongly to my faith.

the power of justice;; I'm not really homophobic. I never have been. I just...I on't know. I don't know how to be.

SAME. I'm not homophobic but I have a friend who feels strongly about the issue of homophobia, she's very pro-gay rights. says I'm homophobic for not agreeing with gay marriage. o_O I'm not homophobic at all, I believe in equal rights for everybody but not gay marriage.

    It's just...odd.
