Oh Poo, no poem comments - Comments

I'll comment out of the goodness of my heart. XD But yeah, I posted two comments and got only 12 readers. I've gotten 80 before, but Mibba is D-E-A-D.

People read the poetry, but it's harder to catch their attention, and it's all really affected by your timing. I usually try to post at a good time for the East Coast of the U.S., because it seems like most users here are from the U.S., and the East Coast has the highest population, so it's one of the best times to try.... I possibly put way too much thought into it, haha.

Also, what you can do is journal more often, and just have a line or two at the end briefly mentioning whichever poem needs attention, with a link to it to make it easier. So you know... ramble about life first, then do some quick advertising!

I'll read your poem, but I won't guarantee a comment. Do you want constructive criticism, or do you prefer to skip that? And if I do comment, you don't have to return it, don't worry. :)

I don't know how many people read poems on Mibba, but i know quite a few write them. That isn't to discredit the effort you put into your work, especially if it took you two hours to write a poem! Even then, getting comments on poems, the most i've ever had on one poem is three.

You have every reason to feel frustrated. The publishing rate on Mibba is insane, so not many people get notice for their work. For an hour you can be on the front page, but in the next you'll be the very last on the page of new releases.

I commented and I don't expect a comment back. It was really one of the few poems on Mibba that I like :)

I understand completely! Before I got into writing stories, I tore up the poems section! I have a whole heap of poems, but not many of them have comments. I guess no one really cars about poems on here because it's hard to find a good one and most of them are depressing. So yeah. Awkward ending.
